The Lionesses Four Sign For 2023

Updated: Jan 12, 2023

We are delighted to announce that Bobbie Haywood, Suzie Flowers, Lucy Peters & Lizzie Musa have all committed their futures to the Lionesses.

The quartet, all featured and were instrumental in the recent silverware success at the 2022 British Airways Grenada Rugby World 7s.

Haywood who joined the Lionesses back in July has been a core part of the squad's performances in the last few months with a number of podium finishes. Her ability to play across a number of positions is a huge asset to DoR Mark Francis tactics.

Flowers, an elusive winger has been with us from the start. Featuring throughout the Super Sevens Series, she was a standout squad member in Grenada going over 6 times. She recently made her Allianz Premier 15s debut for Wasps on their recent away outing to Loughborough Lightning.

Lucy Peters, is one ½ of the Lionesses’ own “Peters Sisters”. Sister of Sophie. Lucy has a reputation of her own for strong ball carrying skills and having a distinct eye for the tryline. Recently catching the eyes of the England U20 coaching team.

Lizzie Musa, is the newest member of the group, debuting in December. Very well known within the social media community, Lizzie’s passion for the game and desire to learn is infectious. Watch out for her flying down the wings in the upcoming tournaments!

Mark Francis had this to say on the recent signings “I promise you don’t need to have a name ending in ‘y’ or ‘ie’ to be a top Lionesse -you just have to be as good as Lucy, Bobbie, Lizzie and Suzie”

All players are available to sponsor in 2023.
