We are pleased to announce the Lion & Lionesse Rugby 7s will be competing at the 2022 Andorra 7s. Currently in it's 2nd season, the event is hosted by the Andorran Rugby Federation and will be the first leg of the European Super Series for the Lions, whilst the Lionesses will be vying to lift the trophy in the women’s elite competition.
2021 saw French elite side – 7s Fantastics lift both the mens' and womens' trophies - a feat the Lions and Lionesses want to replicate in 2022. The competition will draw sides from France, Spain, Catalonia, UK and of course the Andorran National Rugby Sevens Team – which also adds to the tally of national teams the club will face this season.
Speaking about the announcement ,founder Arun Watkins said “The Andorran Rugby 7s tournament is not only held in a beautiful part of the world, but it is also a state of the art facility that is accredited by UEFA. The fact they offer both a male and female elite competition really appealed to us. We look forward to competing and putting on a show for the fans who attend this prestigious competition”
