The 2019 season, our inaugural one as a 7s club, kicked off in May 2019 with an entry into the Lytchett Minster U18 7s competition - a day which saw us sail through the groups only to go out of the semi-finals.... However, a top 3 finish at our first attempt with a squad of players almost all of whom were aged a year below the rest of the competing teams was a great feat, especially as we had not yet recruited a coach! The next few training sessions were held under the coaching guidance of Neil McFarlane, Mark Francis & Andy Jones who helped us over the next few weeks before we entered the Wasps FC 7s tournament, a day which saw us lift our first trophy. Fast forward to July to Birmingham where we achieved 3rd place finish was attained, a remarkable result against already established sides - the Ur7s Academy & Stunts 7s ...by just a try.
